Elite Mobility Services
Waukesha County’s Elderly/Disabled Gets Elite Transportation
Elite Mobility Services opens in Waukesha county, transporting elderly and the disabled of all ages, using wheelchair accessible vans November 27th, 2017.
For most of us in Waukesha, going to the doctor’s office, our job, school, social events and taking care of errands are non-issues. We hop in the car and think nothing of it.
Yet have you thought about how our seniors and disabled are able to perform these tasks?
Those who live their lives in a wheelchair cannot grab a taxi or rideshare driver. A wheelchair bound person must use specialized transportation. Such vehicles, like the new Dodge Grand Caravans which retail for $27,000 must undergo a $10,000 wheelchair modification kit in order to provide ample space and security for wheelchair passengers. Price tags like this are a luxury most of us cannot afford. The other option is buying used wheelchair accessible vans, which quickly depreciate in price and tend to have high mileage, as people keep these vehicles until they are no longer drivable.
This is where Elite Mobility Services comes in. For as little as $30 per trip (plus mileage), Elite Mobility Services provides you with your own wheelchair accessible van, as well as a professionally trained driver.
Seniors who are not in wheelchairs, however are unable to drive, benefit as well, as they only pay $25 per trip (plus mileage). They will also receive Elite Mobility’s professional services. These services are intended to maintain one’s freedom to live life, without having to depend on family or friends to squeeze time into their busy schedules to provide transportation.
Elite Mobility provides those without transportation, the freedom to go anywhere they need to go. By calling the office number, you can schedule a professionally trained driver to pick you up anywhere in the Waukesha area and drop you off at the location you desire (long distance restrictions may apply). Their drivers are CPR/first aid certified, P.A.S.S certified and take a yearly defensive driving course to ensure you are always safe.
Owners Jodi Stewart and Tammy Haga have several years combined experience running a non-emergency transportation company. They have joined forces to create Elite Mobility Services due to their passion and love of helping others. “Tammy and I both started in this business on the ground floor as drivers and rose through the ranks, running a company like this.” Jodi says. “We are all about the community, all we want to do is to serve.”
Elite Mobility Services will be using a specialized software that will take care of all your information, including guiding drivers to the exact location of your choice. There are no 2-way radios as found in many companies like ours. Our technology is current and efficient, so that our clients waiting times are as minimal as possible. We add 15 minutes to our drive time in the event there are traffic difficulties, to ensure you are never late. We also pre-schedule a driver for your return trip to take you back home. The only thing we ask is for you to be ready at the time of pick up.”
Elite Mobility’s vans are continuously tracked by the main office. This way they are always aware of where your driver is, the speed of the vehicle, if vehicle is hard braking, taking hard turns etc. As Tammy says, “We want our passengers not only to feel safe, but to BE safe. Our vans are stronger than regular passenger vans, since the wheelchair kit installed is an extremely strong tubular steel frame, designed like a roll cage protecting race car drivers. This gives our passengers superior safety beyond any standards of a personal vehicle or public bus.”
Elite Mobility Services will be opening November 27, 2017, and can be contacted by calling (262)-923-8000 or by visiting them on the web at www.elitemobility.org.

Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
We are a new startup company, taking our first rides at the end of November.
What is your primary product or service?
We provide specialized transportation for seniors and the disabled using wheelchair accessible vans. We can transport people to their medical appointments, jobs, schools, run errands and attend social events.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Jodi and I have been in this business starting out as drivers and rose through the ranks running a similar company to ours. Jodi as a Transportation Manager and me as the Fleet manager. Together we make a great team!
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Jodi and I have complimentary differences making our company a more complete and whole company. While many other companies use 2 way radios to communicate to drivers, we use the latest technology so that the updates on rides are patched through to the drivers phone immediately. Our vans are fitted with wheelchair kits which surrounds our passenger with a steel tubular frame like the role cages in race cars. Our drivers are CPR/first aid/P.A.S.S. certified and take yearly defensive driver courses. Safety and efficiency is our number 1 goal!
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We are currently serving all of Waukesha County and have plans on spreading south to Walworth County.
